I've been trying to find information on having 2 Noopsyche K7 minis. I've heard you have to set up a separate wifi network for the light to work. But after contacting customer service they said that the minis do not have a master/slave like the K7 pro does. To run two of them together, would I have to set up 2 separate wifi networks and then program them both on their own with the same times? Or is there a way to program both of them together? Thanks!! Been debating about ordering them but don't want to order 2 of them if it won't work.

@noopsyche maybe we can get an answer from the source ;)

You do have to switch between the two and set them up indentically for them to run together....there is no way for the minis to link i havent seen someone try using 2 different wifi setups but could work to not have to switch back and forth. I was going to purchase 2 as well but decided to go with there big brotha the 2 140w lights so i can link them....what size tank and are they the main lights on the tank or is it supplemental lights accenting a few others?

It will be my main source of lighting, it's a 32.5 gallon fluval flex growing softies and lps

Could you do a 140w and dial it down if needed....has alot more controlability with the spectrum tbh....
I was just afraid the spread wouldn't be enough with the bigger one due to it saying 24" for the suggestion spread

Tbh i think you will be fine and if needed can add a cheaper actnic bar but depending on mount height you can and will get a good spread from the 140w as of right now i have a single 100w nicrew over a 55 and can grow anything in the 4ft layout....i am upgrading to 2 140w but going to be mounted 12in above tank....i say go for the 140w imho

What do you think @Zach B congrats on the new sales position
Thank you very much @N1tew0lf1212 ! I think the K7 V3 Pro would be good over a 32.5. If you decide it's not enough and would like to exchange it for 2 minis or just return it I will do so at no charge to you aside from shipping the light back to me :)

Thanks for all the advice guys!! Just placed my order for the pro!! Figured I could also continue to use my marine 3.0 bar for supplemental lighting along with it if needed :)

So bummed I only saw this thread now... Just goty second K7 mini today and when I tried to link them up... Well, you know. Also, my tank is 70cm Lon which means I could possible just have gotten away with one K7 v3 pro.

Bummer

I find that my 2 minis synch up as long as I make changes to one particular mini. 2nd one’s always matches the first.

I'm experiencing the same as tydeck. They both seem to sync up. However to get them into manual mode with AP i have to connect to each individually. My first tank (30gallon long) is still cycling (about 4 weeks in) so I cant comment on coral growth. I will say the two minis seem throw a ton of light off. I just hope I didn't cheap out by not going with the K7 pros. Time will tell. Although at this price point if I need to replace them it doesn't seem like it will be a massive loss.

I will say I was very impressed by the build quality, while nothing to compare it to, they seem super high quality for the money.
