I've heard differing reports and i wanted some peoples opinions on this. Can you indeed keep multiple pairs of Ocellaris Clownfish as long as they are Tank Raised and added when they are young?

I've been told clowns get along better if they are from the same clutch. So I've only heard about hobbyists trying a clutch so there would be one female, one dominant male and the rest submales in a tank. Even then once they become sexually mature sparring still can occur .
BRS had a video were they tried a clownfish tank. It has several episodes. It is interesting to watch.
As for multiple pairs (where there would be several females) in one tank, I'll be interested to see the opinions you get! I will be following.

Clownfish are colonial by nature. If the new fish are juveniles they will be accepted by the pr and allowed to be part of the colony. Then if there is appropriate space, the newer fish may pr off and choose their own space within the tank, if there isn't enough space, they will remain part of the colony.

Once they have paired and found their own space, there may be territorial disputes, but usually nothing too serious.

If they fight when added, this may mean they are not juveniles and have already started to transition. Even in these cases, as long as one of them hasn't made it all the way to female, they will usually still coexist.

I have also found that for about every 2' of tank length a pr of ocellaris/perculas can coexist. This is a generality, there are exceptions, but for the most part works out.

I just added 6 clowns to my Red Sea 650 they where two pairs one that it mate jumped out a year ago . The singles seem to be pairing and other are like one happy family

Also want to add they all appear different even the two that are pairing are way different colors one is light orange and other is much brighter .

i have two Occelaris in quarantine and wanted to see if i could get another pair in my nano, maybe i shouldn't try it :/

Well it is a 20 gallon, but i assume that's still too small. I'm upgrading to a 50+ gallon tank soon, just need to find an acrylic one that's not too expensive
