I would say no some will get killed in that little of a tank I would think. Clowns are very mean
don’t know how many definitive answer you are going to fish for. You can do what ever you want but why keep on asking the same thing over and over hoping for a different answer.I wonder if let say in my case for example (hypothetical):
2 normal ocellaris clownfish
60 gallon tank (already has 11 fish)
If I had more coral and some anemone options could I use an acclimation box to sneak in a pair of say orange storms for example.
I got other tanks and an uncle who always experiments with mixing clowns right now he has a maroon clown with 3 ocellaris in his 125 mixed reef. (Look like the maroon and 2 of the clowns will make it) he is always up for trying to include more clowns his max was 8 of 3 different species in that tank for 2 years before he pulled some out.Doubt it. Maybe for a while. once they stated laying eggs, one pair will win out in that small of an environment. If you have somewhere else to move them if issues, you could try. I always had other tanks I could house pairs that did not get along during my trials. At one time, 5 pairs in 5 tanks.
True generaly my uncle just pulls ones that are not working out.Yep, those darn females just hate each other. I have had it work for almost a year before one got killed or beat up badly. It is just a matter of time. My success may be different. I say success only if they live together for their lifespan. Not a year or two. Especially considering clowns can live over 20 years.
