Has anybody successful kept two or more toby puffers? My wife loves them but from my freshwater days very few puffer species could be kept in multiples. Right now I've got a 90g but in two months my 180g will be fully up.

It should work I saw another thread on someone who has 2 tobys in a tank i want 2 tobys in my new tank

Are you thinking two of the same species or two or more different species? I've seen both done but unless you get a true pair it might be harder with conspecifics. As for multiple species I've also seen it done and with your tank size I think you should be ok but it's trial and error really.

I had a valentini and a blue spot. I had to return the blue spot. He was relentless about nipping at the other. That was in a 120 gallon standard.

It depends on individuals -- if added together your odds increase substantially. As mentioned, if they are the same species you may run in to trouble.

I currently have a valentini and I'd like to get a leopard once I get the new tank up and running. Thanks guys!
