Multiple Vanderbilt Chromis in 29gallon?

On my search for species only species that could live in a 20-30 gallon tank I stumbled onto these. . .

3 of these be ok in a 29 gallon?

Yes. Like anthias, chromis do need to be fed more frequently to keep them happy (the 12 I have get 6 pellet and 2 frozen feedings daily).

do they not kill each other off like green chromis too?

I have to be honest with you, I think the whole "chromis thing" is kind of a myth. In 2 years I've lost a grand total of two (2) chromis: one jumped out of the tank and another (very small) one was killed by a clownfish for repeatedly venturing to close to her lair.

If they're fed often enough (more than once daily) they seem to do just fine. Remember: chromis are like sharks - always swimming, swimming, swimming...
