Mummy eye chalice got eaten

What's up everyone so I have a mummy eye chalice part of it was eaten by a starfish question is will it grow back or should I cut the bad part off tip it and let it do its thing
 
Could you post a photo? Do you know your parameters?
Typically starfish dont eat coral.
Im suspecting your parameters are to blame. Notably, low alk with ultra low nutrients coupled with high light.

Sorry for the late response yes it did get eaten by a star fish it was a chocolate starfish hope it makes it

there are plenty of starfish that eat corals, chocolate stars most certainly do and will! If you plan on having a reef better get rid of the choc star.

Chocolate chip starfish are definitely not reef safe. You need to get rid of it if you hope to keep corals.

As long as there is any flesh left, there's a chance it will come back. Leave it alone and keep it in the tank for a while.
 
Yeah my girl has her 15 gallon tank and it was moved over to that tank cause my light went out and moved coral over and that was the last peace to move and bam that happend the coral this morning looked happy has it color so we will see how it does thanks for the I fo
