I'm getting my shipment of Fiji "Dead" Rock in tonight and was wondering what you all suggest I do. Acid bath, Bleach, or both?

Any advice you can give would be appreciated.

From what I've gathered online I want to dip all rock for 10-15 minutes and then use baking soda to neutralize the acid.

What I am slightly unsure of is how to make sure the acid doesn't leach into my tank. Is there a process I am missing between acid bath and cycling the tank?

I treated my old LR with bleach, and then a vinegar soak. didnt want/need to get the muriatic, and vinegar seemed to work just fine. I did a fresh water soak between bleach and vinegar, then again after the vinegar.

Whatever you do just don't use both at the same time! Muriatic acid or vinegar and bleach will yield chlorine gas evolution. Aka highly toxic green cloud of death
