My water has become cloudy, and idk why. We did a water change and switched the filter twice. Any suggestions? Maybe another water change?
Here's a before and after.

Oh. The water level in the second pic (after the change) is lower than the first... Have you checked your salinity or other parameters? How old is the tank?

interesting how often this happens without any known nutrient inputs - given that it absolutely requires some nutrient (Carbon, at least) becoming available for a bacterial bloom like this.

Yes unfortunately your aquarium is still in cycling stage if any, it's very hard to distinguish problems at this stage but I would advise on patients, maybe 1 more month to let bacteria take a hold and establish itself in your aquarium.
In the mean time can you tell us what size your aquarium is and what you would like it to fill it with, what fish do you want to see swimming, I like hermits and snails.
What do you want for your aquarium ☺️

29 gallon and it's been running for about 9 months. Currently has 2 clowns, 1 royal gramma, 1 cleaner shrimp, and 1 conch.
