I picked up a mushroom for my tank as a starter coral. It seemed alright at first, but after several days it either blew off or jumped off the rock. I couldn't get it to settle in any nooks, so I resorted to this. Maybe corals just need something to help them loosen up when coming to a new tank? A little liquid courage goes a long way. If this is animal abuse, let me know.

What you did here is actually a method to get it to adhere its foot to rock or rubble. Gluing and the rubber band retention method is a no-no. If they move or detach- its usually due to too much water flow
