Mushroom at night?

Looked at the tank late night and saw one of my mushrooms with a string like thingy coming out of his mouth. Never saw this before, anyone ideas?

its happened to me too with a tiny red mushroom. the stringy stuff goes back in after a while. i thought maybe sweeper tentacles but they dont have them. no clue. maybe parasite?
