Mushroom ate nem

so my nem is missing and I think my mushroom ate the nem

It’s in a frag tank with 1 rock in there inside a basket. This happen in a 2 hour window. I hope it pops up soon

Ive seen nems squeeze into some pretty gnarly holes. Usually when they hide, i never see them again.

Check the overflow/sump/etc. I seriously doubt that mushroom ate it. At a min if it came into any serious contact with it it probably wouldn’t look nearly as happy.

Agreed. My 8" rainbow can shrink to the size of chewed up juicy fruit.

My 8” Sherman can shrink to the size of a dime. They will hide if they don’t like the environment

Heres some photos of my then 5" CSB squeezing itself through a pencil sized opening of an isolation dish.

My Smaller ones have ended up in my Fluval G3, squeezing through the pickup tube strainer end. I had a Chocolate Chip Starfish I found in Maryland in the Patuxent River. He would routinely pull my overflow strainers off and get in my overflow box.
