Mushroom balled up

mushroom detached from frag so I put it in a cup w a new frag hoping it would reattach. Was doing well. Nice and flat. Not attaching but not looking stressed. Then I found a hermit crab on top of it and it’s inverted itself and turned into a ball. I realize there’s some brown stuff on it, I inadvertently restarted the cycle a few weeks back. 1st pic is before the incident, 2nd pic is now. Will it be ok?

Yes, it goes into a ball either after you have fed it or in self defense, I have this sometimes happen when fragging them.
