try not to move it to much. If they get to much light they will basically melt so you'll know for sure if it's getting to much. These tend not to need a ton of light. Sometimes they take a while to bounce back but eventually they multiply like crazy.

Yeah, don't continue to handle it. If you put it in the tank, depending on your lighting probably down near the bottom, does it open up after a while ( could be a day or so) or does it stay closed like in the photo? Also need more info about your system. Tank size, how long it's been set up, salinity, ph, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, phos, alk.

Mine do better in little or low flow. Start in low light, but I have some getting same light as acros so they can tolerate lots of conditions.....once established.

ok i still havent got around to buying a master test kit. I keep up with the salt with my refractometer it kinda bounces but for the most part iv ever lett it get below 33 i fin hahrd to read the gavity side so forgive me my fish iv had fo over three years. not all the same fish btw. so this sys is a reg 55 gal i have a aqueon sump just because it was given to me I have a w4 with controll for wake maker my lights are the fluval 2.0 marine 25k i have a few fugi live rocks plannin to get more soon i have 50 pounds of.sand I have my clown pair.one of them is.black it so weird having miss matched clowns haha i have some turbo snails and some blue leg hermits i have a pacfic shrimp and my new fa my golden head gobie i know they leave sand on corals but i have my mush away from were the gobie hangs out to eat alot

I honestly wouldn't worry to much about feeding a single mushroom as they're photosynthetic. Will probably get a snack here and there from falling fish food debris. You could grind up some frozen or use something like marine snow but this will just make your water quality worsen over time. Uneaten decaying food just ups nitrate, silicates, phosphates and all that other stuff you'd be ideally trying to get rid of after finding high levels of after testing. Good luck, I'm sure it'll be fine
