Mushroom coral

Hello everyone. I bought a mushroom coral with a few pollys on the same rock the other day from the lfs, its been 3 days. Wel at the lfs the mushroom was wide open about covering the side of the whole rock. Well i got him home and placed and now hes not looking to good. Hes in a low flow and i have a marz aqua 165 on the biocube. Its set at 20% blues and 1% whites. Any input on what i should do? Thx!

What are your parameters? You might want to try moving the coral to a shadier spot for a couple days and see how it responds.

I just got some mushroom corals too. Keeping it around 5,000lux on my light (something like 30 watts).

I put this light on about a week ago and not sure where to start. I don't have a par meter.

Lux meter on amazon is around $20. So you can get some estimates.

Start by moving them to an area of less intense lighting. See link below, it offers some good first hand experience.

So far when my corals don't open it's usually when the lights are off or when something touched it. Sorry I can't help beyond that. I also just got three corals. Two have opened up but the third (an Australian Green Star Polyp) is refusing to show itself. Yesterday I moved him close to the light.
