Mushroom coral

Hi I bought this mushroom Coral on a round piece of frag (if u can see on pic and was under the impression the coral would remove himself off the frag after time? Was I supposed 2 cut it off or does it stay on there? Thanks in advance.

Hard to tell from the quality of the photo but, that looks like green star polyp to me.

It can move, but if it likes the spot it wont move until it starts budding off babies it will move slightly to give it some light. The fact it's not moving means it's a happy camper where you have it.

Does it stay on frag? I'll try some more pics now thanks. Last pic was wen I 1st had it. Got new fone so lost mo

You can clip as much of the plug off and glue to your rock work of you don’t like the disc.

It don't bother me I'm just don't know wot best 4 coral 1st 1 I've bought.

It's not glued on, i can see the foot, a lot of glues just end up "sliming off" and it doesn't work long anyway. The fact its not moving means you placed it in a spot that it's happy. You did good It will move as it starts to bud off babies. People don't like them moving as they can get stung or shade other corals.
