Mushroom coral

Im currently looking to buy a nice golden mushroom coral, but i have been looking at youtube videos of some mushrooms eating fish in tank. Idk much about these but would like to know which mushrooms are safe to have with fish.

I'll let some other folks chime in but my guess is that the issue would be with some of the larger shrooms like hairy elephant ear shrooms. I have 5 different shrooms in my tank with no issues.

Hi! Yuma, Rhodactis, ricordia, discosoma, and the basic shrooms have all been fish-friendly for me (and sexy shrimp friendly!). The gold maul Yuma or iron man mushroom sound kinda like what you’re looking for

Looks like an iron man very pretty. I have a couple of them now and they are gorgeous, do better in lower light.

I have 1 shroom in my tank and i dont think my clowns even know it exists XD

Some fo have large mouths like a small carpet anemone but I believe the fish would have to be weak to become a victim

True, the only stories I have heard were possibly sick/dead/dying fish, very small fish vs a very large coral, or a slow moving fish (like a mandarin)

These mushrooms are totally safe, I’d only be worried with a carpet anemone or mini maxi type nem, MAYBE a particularly large RFA with a very tiny mandarin. This is what I call a ‘basic mushroom’ and they pose no threat to anything

Have fun with it! Watch your alk, too high and your shroom will melt I learned that the hard way.

I wouldn't worry about mushrooms eating fish. I have some Rhodactis that are over 6". My clowns love them.
