I recently bought a mushroom from my LFS and I accidentally knocked it off from it's frag plug today (it wasn't strongly attached to the plug yet). I don't have any baskets with holes in them to house them in, so I put them in this little beaker with some netting over it. Will this be enough flow to ensure that the mushrooms don't die? Or should I run to the store and buy a small basket to float in my tank?

Should be ok. Just get some coral glue and reattach.
The mushroom isn't holding on to anything with it's body - Can I glue it's body as is? Or should I wait till it grabs a piece of rock first?

You should be able to figure out where it was originally glued. I had one separate twice today (determined little sucker), and I ended up leaving it out for 2min for the glue to thoroughly harden and then placed it in a small container of tank water for another 2-3min before reintroducing back into the tank.

I can’t tell what type of mushroom from the pic. I have never tried to intentionally attach a mushroom to anything but I have a bunch of discosomas and whenever they get plowed around by an urchin and something comes loose I have seen the pieces grab on to stuff if they fall between rocks or in a crack or sheltered spot. Usually within a week or two and they settle there because it’s a spot that doesn’t really have flow so I’d guess the beaker will be fine.

It's a discosoma mushroom! It's pretty tiny at the moment, I'd say it's the size of half a dime so I'm really hoping I don't lose this one too since I paid quite a bit for it! It's very reassuring to know that they're pretty hardy when it comes down to them getting blown around. Thank you!

Gluing it's actual body won't suffocate it?

Mine came in a used setup I bought to start out reefing / saltwater about 7 months ago and have endured a crazy amount of newbie struggle and come back including a heater malfunction that put them up at 90+ degrees for a weekend. They bleached out and went kind of transparent but have settled down and started darkening again and a bunch of tiny new ones have popped up. They seem pretty tough.

Put a small rock instead of the frag. Inside your mesh tent. He'll attach in a week.
Do not glue, he will slime off.

A little extreme but will work. Typical is being tied down to a rock rubble with loosely fit rubber band. Do NOT Glue
