help!!! My mushroom has detached from the frag and was on the substrate!!! I placed it back on the frag and blew away. Frag in a low flow area but mushroom has floated to a cevise in the corner. Was looking great yesterday. Still looks good but what do I do??!?!

My ricordia did the same thing. It probably just didn't like where it was. Too much light or flow. I took a small disposable plastic cup, cut the top down, filled the bottom with rock rubble and put it on the sub-strait. It didn't take long for it to attach to a rock. Still haven't moved it to the rock work yet. Maybe I'll do that today.

I’ve had several mushrooms detach. My guess was because of too much light or flow. They have always shown back up in protected areas of the tank.

Calm down. No big deal. They move on their own. It could be hidden in a rock for months and come out just fine! It will find the spot it likes! No worries.

It's very possible that it will find a happy place on it's own and reattach. Or not.

If you have any more old plugs to throw in there, it might find one easier and attach quicker. The only potential problem with letting it find it's own place is that mushrooms tend to spread quickly (at least in my tanks). I try to keep them confined to their own rock for that reason.

No. No other frags to offer. I can get some. It’s in a temporary 20g so I don’t mind it spreading. It’s going into my 110 eventually so I actually wouldn’t mind a few more of em :)

It will attach to rubble or an old snail shell too. I would not get stressed. You can also glue it to the frag plug.

Don't stress it too much. If it doesn't attach right away, it's no big deal. I've never tried to glue a mushroom directly to a rock, but I've heard others say it's iffy. These guys are very hardy, so patience is your friend. Take your time and do what feels right. Oh. By the way, I did glue down my ricordia today. Thanks for giving me the initiative I needed to get it out of the cup.

Good for u :) mine is hanging out in the cup on the substrate. Looking ok. No now worried. Moved the light so it’s not directly on it because it settled in a darker spot on it’s own. Wish me luck :)
