My name is Hunter and I’m planning on doing some trials to try to figure out what causes the “bouncing” on Rhodactis mushrooms. I* am looking for experts on this topic and want to know any experiences you guys have with these mushrooms. Any stories or suggestions will be taken in as well! Please PM me if you have any knowledge in this area. Thanks for the help and your time!

I know a guy that switched a tank with several year old rhodactis under VHOs to Leds and they bubbled up almost immediately.

I’ve heard and read lots about the blue LEDs having lots to do with it.

I have an Radion XR14 G4 Pro and I own a bounce I got it with one small bubble now they are the size of popcorn. My bubbles where honestly small until I started to frag mine and I cut it with a razor down the middle and after about 4 times through of cutting it I noticed it got bigger bubbles after each cut

When I first got it

Now after 4 cuts

So could it possibly be stress that causes these new mutations in the coral?

Update. I’m planing on getting an AI prime with a nuvo fusion 10 gallon to test the light hypothesis. I* figure the full control of the AI prime will be my best bet on figuring out if it is truly the light that causes it.

Also. I’ll be looking for some really nice Rhodactis mushrooms to be doing this experiment. And maybe 1 or 2 bounce mushrooms. If anyone has any my budget for the bounce mushrooms is around 150. I* know it’s low but if anyone has any please let me know because any and all help is needed. Thanks again for your time!
