Super easy. Cut right down the fold, using a brand new razor blade. Break the disk in half, otherwise there's a good chance the mushroom just connects itself back together again.

I'd go ahead. If it's been in the tank for a few weeks and looks good - you should be good to go.

Just let it do it on its own... it’ll anchor itself in the process no need to speed it up. Unless you plan o. Selling the other half. My vote is to let nature take its course.
