I bought this mushroom(?) at Reef a Palooza 4 or 5 years ago, and I can’t for the life of me remember what it is. After all this time, it is growing big time and having little mushroom babies.

Thanks for the replies all. I don’t recall the seller mentioning ricordea, but it definitely looks similar. I should have mentioned that this piece is big…it’s about 5” in diameter. Do Florida Ricordea’s or Ricordea Yumas get that large?

Yuma ricordea. Those mushrooms get HUGE, some of the ones in my 4’ tank are a good 6” in diameter.

Very cool. I just looked up some pics of golden Ricordea Yumas and they do look quite similar. Thanks!
Here’s an older photo of the big Yuma in my Nano tank. I hid it under a rock in hopes to stop it from growing too big and suffocating my other mushrooms (Blue disco, Florida ric, Green rhodactis)

And the ones in the 4’ tank - also an older photo. These ones are from the same mother shroom as the ones in my bank just the ones in my nano aren’t bounced for some reason (Flow possibly).

Beautiful. Looks like the one in nano almost has torch-like tentacles. Is that what “bounced” means? Also loving the fish in the first photo. Is that a leopard wrasse?

The first photo is a Blue Star Leopard, the Nano I would assume is an unbounded ric and the main is a bounced ric but I could be wrong.

Unbounded ric? Bounced ric?! Lol.
These are new terms to me.
D
Yeah, the bounce craze started with Rhodactis but now we get bounced discos, rics, and although it’s harder to find, we can get bounced electus mushrooms.
