Mushroom ID

I have this shroom for about 3months which ill call Christmas Mushroom, but i saw it buried in the sand of a local seller and the original seller had no clue where it came from. I believe it might be somesort of discosoma but i havnt seen anything like it. Does anyone have anything similar? Thank You.

That’s a pretty sweet shroom. If you don’t mind me asking how much did you pay for it. That’s definitely got some Christmas spirit.

He didnt want to let it go once i pointed it out to him because he hasnt seen anything like it. It was about a size of a small pebble when i got it, totally buried underneath crushed coral. But with presistence and favors done, he sold it to me for a decent price. He knows i have a crazy mushroom collection and i had to have it lol

Yeah usually once they realize that it might be unique or different even after it’s been neglected or not even thought about by them they try to hold onto it once someone shows interest. My lfs has some random zoas growing beside his frag rack almost underneath it and I tried to get him to sell them to me. He had no idea what they were but wouldn’t sell them to me even after I offered more then what they were probably worth. Great job on convincing your lfs it looks amazing.

I only support LFS when it comes to buying fish. All my coral are from private parties or small vendors.
