I know it sounds odd to be asking for lighting help for what is supposed to be a bulletproof coral, but everything I try seems to be too much or too little...

I started a new little mushroom tank, a little 3 gallon Marineland Contour, and was using a 6w blue/10k wavepoint LED, but the shrooms seemed to really shrink, as if there was too much light. I tried moving the light as far from the water as the clamp would allow, but no change

So I got the 3 watt version, and my fave mushroom looks like this:

Does this mean the light is not quite strong enough? Or is this "happy" mushroom behavior? If necessary, I will get a new light, it's just hard to find something for a pico that isn't too pricey. Here is an FTS if that helps (the light is as close to the water as I can get it):

Thanks!
