So here's a thing. I've had red mushrooms in the tank for years. Haven't added any. There's a large colony of reds, and a couple smaller colonies of green and blue. Then this guy showed up.

White in the middle and pink at the edges. The wife loves it. I've had a lot of new reds come in (really have to keep them beaten back), but all of them started out red. This is something new. It's growing quickly and seems to be healthy. Could it be some kind of morph? I literally haven't added anything new to the tank in months and months.

A lot of my baby shrooms are a different color when small, especially if they were shaded. As they grow they get the normal colors. But you just never know......
I've considered that (still considering it), but I've had a lot of babies and never seen anything like this. Also, it's on the top of my shroom rock. It's getting more light and flow than most. Could that have something to do with it?

It definitely can, looks like it's a little bleached.

i'm going with bleached as well... too much light.

three things can happen...

it will acclimatize itself, and color back up.
it will walk down to find a darker spot
it will slowly melt away.

or you can move it :)
