so I bought a small mushroom frag online. A couple weeks ago I noticed a new head appeared, but I also noticed one of the two original heads was “missing”.

Today, upon shear luck, I located the “missing” mushroom. It has somehow relocated itself right in the middle of my two large hairy mushrooms(on the complete other side of the tank). Due to its location between the two large mushrooms, it is in a very shaded spot.

1. With it being on a rock with different mushroom species, will one kill the other if I left it there?

2.What would be the best technique in getting it detached from the rock to move it?

It must want to be there.

Shroom's can move like anemones, it's probably found it's happy spot... :)

So far I have had all of mine touch and nothing has been bothered yet. Mine even moved beside of another just like yours. Oddly, they almost seem social.

Shrooms just detach if they don’t like where they are. It will move around via the flow and find a nice spot that it likes
