Mushroom Placement

Hello fellow reefers!
I have a half dozen mushrooms or so...ricordea, Rhodactis, Yuma, Superman to name a few... my question is on placement. Currently I have them on a top rock closest to my lights- running 2 AI Prime 32’s on Saxby setting. They are getting moderate/high flow also and they are doing just fine. Been there for a month or so. Lately I’ve been reading up on them more and I’m finding everyone saying low in the tank, even on the sand bed and low to moderate lighting. Does anyone else have theirs up high? I want them to grow and populate, maybe that’s the reason for low light and flow? Thought or suggestions would be appreciated! TIA

Mushrooms typically do better in lower flow and lower PAR light levels, but some can adapt to different parameters. You can them lower to see if you get better growth.
