I'm still a relative newby to saltwater, learning as I go. My son and I have had a small nanotank for the past few years and recently set up a 30 gallon salt tank around 5 months ago. We have started adding some beginner corals (a new experience for us), including a green fluorescent mushroom. The other day I was doing some tank maintenance and inadvertently knocked 2 mushrooms free (a tiny guy and a larger one). I tried supergluing the larger to my live rock with only temporary success. Now both have found resting places on the sandbed in a protected alcove of the rock. Should i reattempt attaching them, leave them be, move them to a better location on the sand bed (they are in a dim area)?

Any suggestions are appreciated!!

They will reattach on their own. I would suggest putting them on some rubble so once they attach you can move them where you want. Depending on mushroom type they can spread very fast.

Don't glue it. Mushrooms are corallimorphs and more related to anemones than corals. This means they can move on their own and they will find a place they like and stick there (gluing only prevents them from moving which is no bueno). And IMO you can't kill mushrooms (I've tried and failed). You can literally cut these guys like a pizza and each piece will become another mushroom. Also pics will probably help to find out what kind it is.
