I absolutely can’t seem to keep mushrooms [emoji53] I’ve bought 3 now. One extended for about 2 days before it closed. 7 months later it reproduced once but both melted about a week ago. Now i have these 3 guys who i got about a month ago. I’m pretty sure they should be more open and puffy than this. Anyone know what I’m doing wrong?

All water parameters are stable, all my zoas, other softies, frogspawn and clam are doing fine. Lighting is an AI PRIME HD. 32 gallon biocube has been established for over a year now.

Have you tested your nutrients? Phosphates and Nitrates. our systems need them to grow.

I had an algae bloom which I fixed with Red Sea's NOPOX and Reef Vibrant. I spot dose Red sea's coral energy a & b with reef roids every week or so too.

My mushrooms thrive with nitrates around 10

I do my regular maintenance and I only started dosing NOPOX once a week, exactly a week ago. I don't know how I wouldn't have normal mushroom conditions like that

Try moving them against your rock. Still on the sandbed.

Thats the latest thing that I did and still nothing. If its too much flow I can try putting them in a plastic cup so block them from any flow until I can diagnose what the problem is.

you can try to turn off your fans for a few hours and see how they react.
I had to turn off my mp40, set at it's lowest setting, and my shrooms looked better. They settled down, round and flat.
I would say, very low flow for mushrooms.
