Mushroom problems

I haven’t discarded yet.. it’s been about a week.. tank kinda went down for a week.. mushrooms took a hit.. they don’t close at night, they are just kinda there..

Is it a bounce? I only have discosoma, so those dont inflate like bubble corals and rhicordea. I would just adjust your params and keep them. Until the coral starts dying dont remove it. If it begins to die, put it in a seperate tank or smth, QT, and try to heal it. (I dont like corals dying in tanks, because its our fault, never anything that they do. Corals are immortal basically, and when we kill them I feel guilty lol)When do you call it.. I have two shrooms, they look like crap, they don’t open and close, they just hang out.. Ammonia is .5, pretty frustrated. But my GSP looks great!!

Exactly.. I feel the same way.. with the Ammonia elevated, wasn’t sure what to do..
complete newb with corals..

Ok.. API is lousy for Ammonia. Im going to bet that your Ammonia is zero. Do you have fish? Are they doing ok, breathing well?
Mushrooms are a type of anemone. They really require an established tank. 2 months is a bit early for them. They may do ok, but they aren't going to be happy for a while.

GSP is doing great, both clownfish are great.. I did have a setback with no filtration for about a week.. back up and running.. just worried since these guys don’t close and open anymore..

If the fish are doing well, I'm 100% sure you don't have a lingering ammonia issue. While you had no "filtration" for a week, did you have power heads running so you still had flow?

The tank sat still for 24-36 hours then I had power heads going pointed to the top of the tank for agitation.. everything at that point seemed fine.. still opened and closed.. it’s just been since I ramped the tank back up, 40 gallon breeder.. pump pushing 540gph back into tank

It's likely that you didn't do any long term damage having the system down like that. Make sure your parameters are steady.. No rapid swings.
The only issue I have with this one mushroom is that he refuses to attach to a rock. Right now he's boxed in and sitting on the rock I want him on, just wont attach. He's got a hold of a few bits of sand, I guess he thinks that's good enough.
I just got this hunk of rock with a few nice mushrooms on it a few weeks ago.
My full tank, pain in the butt lives in that little rock pile down front.

That’s hard for me.. I love tinkering.. my setup is straight.. I worry about my lights.. that’s the last piece of the puzzle.. my lights are not bad, they just arnt great..
