I have one that looked like that for a couple weeks. He finally opened up. Gets about 2 inches around when fully open.
Is it a bounce? I only have discosoma, so those dont inflate like bubble corals and rhicordea. I would just adjust your params and keep them. Until the coral starts dying dont remove it. If it begins to die, put it in a seperate tank or smth, QT, and try to heal it. (I dont like corals dying in tanks, because its our fault, never anything that they do. Corals are immortal basically, and when we kill them I feel guilty lol)

Exactly.. I feel the same way.. with the Ammonia elevated, wasn’t sure what to do..
complete newb with corals..
GSP is doing great, both clownfish are great.. I did have a setback with no filtration for about a week.. back up and running.. just worried since these guys don’t close and open anymore..
Here is my system.. not the best, but my first with sump..If the fish are doing well, I'm 100% sure you don't have a lingering ammonia issue. While you had no "filtration" for a week, did you have power heads running so you still had flow?

You're welcome.. I have found that the less I worry about it and mess with it, the better off it is.
