is there any trick getting a mushroom to move on to another rock? i’m basically trying to get my bounce shroom to crawl on to this flat rock i bought him so that he may fully expand. i thought that maybe when his foot felt the rock he’d start to move on to it at some point because he’s at the edge of his plug! i had him on sand before and he’d expand about 75% but then crabs would bother him! any ideas? here he is at his sleeping stages

You can use a powerhead to blow it off, and if adjustable just keep upping the flow until it releases(if you want to be a little easier on it), just get ready to catch it before it latches onto something else ;Dead. Then you can put it wherever you like :)

Increase flow. Not too much or they will curl up and hunker down, but a small increase. Mushrooms don’t like too much and will move away from it if too strong.

Sometimes a bit more flow gets them to move
would i be able to scrape him off with a blade or will it impose too much stress?

you could use a blade but there is to much risk damaging the foot.
Most people either up the flow or use a powerhead with direct flow to move them. Video showing some one do it.

how much time of attempting this would you say is too much? is there a point where i should just stop and try again another time? i know the guy said his anemone moved after 30mins, would it be too much if i tried 2hrs or something?

If you are willing to wait that long and make sure it doesnt get sucked into the powerhead(unless you have a anemone guard), but if its taking that long, im guessing its not enough flow.

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
