I have a large piece of live rock that is covered with Green Hairy Mushrooms. I would like to sell or give away individual mushroom frags instead of selling the entire rock. Is there a way to remove the mushrooms from the rock so I could sell them? I've researched online and I can only find information on how to get rid of unwanted mushrooms. I want to keep them and sell them individually, so that information isn't helpful. If you have any techniques on removing mushroom coral from live rock so they can be given away or sold, please let me know!

If you have some bone cutters you can break some of the rock to take them off. I did that to get rid of some Texas Trash before them got out of hand.

... this is a really random thought that just popped into my head: transfer the rock to its own tank and gradually raise the rock up and above the water line (forcing the mushrooms to move lower and lower).

Trying to do the same thing, following.
I heard if you put a powerhead in front of them they'll detach but I dont know if I want to spend the time doing that.

I do this all of the time when I sell shrooms. Take a knife and dig out a tiny bit of rock from under the mushroom without cutting the actual mushroom. Shouldn't really damage the rock or the mushroom.
