Mushroom splitting? pics attached

I'm still pretty new to everything in the Salt world. I've got a superman mushroom that has started pulling apart over the past couple of weeks. Is it splitting? Is this normal?

Edit: fyi, mine split and now I have two. Didn't split and die!

It might split. Looks more like a tear healing though.

I have no idea, just know that my friend who gave it too me said that was the name. Here is a picture from his tank and the mushroom that produced this one.
