Mushroom splitting?

This mushroom has developed a distinct circular line bisecting the mouth, and what appears to be a new mouth growing at the top in this photo. Is it getting ready to split? I’ve only had it for about 3 months and don’t know how the splitting process normally works.

In my experience rhodactis mushrooms don't split by ripping themselves in half, they will slowly get longer and develop a second mouth and then split off. That stripep just seems to be coloration.
