Greetings! Welp, a good friend gifted me yesterday a red with blue spots baby mushroom about the size of a dime. Over night the mushroom jumped ship ( detached from frag) and now I have no idea where it is. Possibly in the rock work. I’m spying with a magnifying glass searching and nope. My question is can this lil guy move itself eventually into somewhere visible? How well do they move about? There is no way in taken apart my scape to find it.

Oh it’s not the big one. It’s on the frag plug above

I find that mine often at first would blow around with the current. I’m not sure they really move on their own power so much. However once you find it you can hold it down with some wedding veil until it grabs ahold of the rock for good. I find once they are attached they stay that way.

Yep mushrooms tend to do that. People use shroom boxes to keep them from missing. With luck, your's will find a foot hold and you may find it. Depending on your flow, it may or may not find the foothold as they take time to attach and cannot do that if the flow prevents it.

I hope I find it! I’m sure it’s in my rockscape. My flow is moderate thankfully but I’m not tearing 5he tank apart so I’m hoping it will find its way to be visible. Ugh!
