i wanted to know what can be happening to my mushroom. Ever so offen he has this pink/red thing coming out from him. It normally goes away after a few days then it comes back

If it's just goop, then Nex is correct. If it has many strings and "tentacle" looking things then it's the polyps guts.
 
There is no strings or tentacles thing. It is very smooth. I thought that his mouth was on top. This is my first mushroom so I don't know much about the bodily functions of mushroom or coral.

Yes, the only opening to the coral is what we call the mouth because that's where it eats. It also expels zooanthelle, which is pretty much poop, out of its mouth.
 
If it's new to your system it is fairly common for corals such as mushrooms or Zoanthids/Palythoa to expel Zooxanthellae (not bleaching, just regulating) as they adjust to the different lighting in your system. My guess is that it's just expelling waste, it doesn't sound like it's very new.
 
Then it could be expelling/regulating Zooxanthellae, brown goo out of the mouth is normal as long as it doesn't lose color or anything.
