What is going on with my mushroom it is rising off the frag in the back?

Is it a Florida ricordia? Look to me like it’s reaching for light.

I have always kept my ricordia about 6” off the sand with direct light and mild flow.

It is indeed Ricordea florida, and I agree it needs a little more light. Start by bringing it out from under that rock that should help.

I thought that might be the case I moved it under there because it hasn't stretched out since I got it a month ago. Thought my t5s might be to intinse?

They are prone to coming off frag plugs so i would keep it away from heavy flow

How much flow is it in? It doesn't take much to upset them enough to where they detach. Too much flow will make them detach too.

Not a lot of flow at all.

It might just be in the perfect place and what your seeing is the mushroom conserving energy to pop one out. (reproducing)
