Mushroom?

I got a ton of corals from a buddy who was leaving the hobby and he had no idea what these were. The rock broke in two and ripped one larger piece into 2 and after about a week or two of asking myself if that it’d survive they’re both happy looking but still don’t know what they are.

Does look like a green hairy mushroom, give it a month or two it'll be easier to tell when it colors up again. I would keep it isolated on a separate rock.
