mussle hitchhiker

So today I bought a piece of live rock from my lfs that had gsp all over it that he couldn't get off to frag. So I bought it whole. Well as I was removing it from the bag it came in what I first thought was a piece of small rock when it first fell turned out to be a mussle. I am still really new to these so I don't know what to do with it. Any advice? Thank you.

Leave it in it’ll be fine as long as you have a established tank if not bring it back to the fish store and ask to trade it for some snails or something

My tank is 3 months now. It's already gone through the ugly stage. But I don't know how established I'd say it is for something like that. I do have a cleaner shrimp and 4 nassaurius snails already. It's an 80 gallon.

Im not experienced in muscles so I do not have much advice but mine has done really well and all I do is feed my fish
