I rinse mine in tap water and dry with paper towel after every use. No rust in over 2 years.
Feeding mysis to lps, feeding mysis to fish, grabbing coral, grabbing frags, holding new frags steady while glue dries, moving small/medium rocks, a million other things. They basically extend your reach an additional 12+ inches which is super helpful in most tanks. I try to avoid touching coral with my hands as much as possible.
