My 1.5 gallon reef

Hey guys got bored waiting on my big tank to grow some coral started I guess a pico reef its 1.5 gallon flower arrangement bowl you can get at any arts and craft stores a heater a air stone 3 prices of live rock and gonna have a diy led when all the parts get here will not have any fish looking for ideals coral wise

Also would you guys suggest water changes from my establish reef and supplement with trace elements or fresh ro water change I use Red Sea coral pro salt

I wouldn't recommend sps or lps. The calc and alk will be very difficult to maintain in such a small system. I would go zoa farm with shrooms and some gsp

Sps and lps is very doable though if thought out correctly. I was planning on a few sps and lots of shrooms

hey I run something similar with all possible corals check sig link

its ok to change with used water but I recommend not, I recommend only 100% full changes as often as you like, just after a nice big feeding, using new made water matching salinity and temp from the prior change water.

these picos generate their own dissolved waste, so adding water that already contains some is not ideal but it still works and many do it anyway.
