As long as you have a standard 165w black box, then it should be enough for the center portion of the tank in length of 24 inches. So the ends of the tank of roughly 5 inches will be the darkest areas. If you can account for that, you won't need any new lights right away.

What height do you think would be best? 10”? And yeah its a 165w reefbreeders. Wish I could get ahold of the app that runs it
 
Ok. So update time. Have now updated to the nuvo 20g, ai prime hd led light. More LR has been added as well as a couple pieces of coral and a small cuc

Here go. So roughly 1 month update. Doing about 4g a weekly water changes. May back down to around 2.5-3g. Test is showing nitrates after the water change about 2 hours ago

Wow. Been awhile since Ive updated this thread. Now running 2 AI primes. Ill post the schedule below. Running a ATO. From hydor with a leviathan 7g ato reservoir. Upgraded one of the filter socks to the media rack and plan to replace the second one as well. Now time for pics

Looks great so far. I have a prime on my 29gal biocube and love it.
 
time for a bad update. have been fighting dino's and have lost the green slimer as of yesterday. for the dino's I just came off of a 3 day blackout which killed them back, but they are returning. will be picking up a alk test tomorrow to see where that level is and will measure phosphates and nitrates at the same time. nitrates were zero and phosphates .25. salinity at 35
