My 120 gal reef tank

On the way home from buying my first reef set up can't wait to get it up in running. Pictures are to come when I got tank out of truck safely on the stand!!!!

Tank is in house on stand everything is in tubs still under water rock and sand but nothing running hoping to have water in it running through sump and all tomorrow. Still need lights have no lights.

Well tank is full of water but i cant tune the derso overflow pipe where it wont make the Toliet Flush sound and gurgle how do i fix this

Maybe your drain pipes are under water in the sump?

I'd try reducing flow and raising the pipe in the sump (above water level).

If it's a Marineland series the return pipe should have a hole drilled in the 90 elbow.I've put filter floss around to reduce sound but still have a siphon break.I have also had luck running a piece of PVC from the Bulkhead in the sump down about 6 inches to the sock.Just my two cents.Need pics soon!

All problems fixed tank is settling and tomorrow gonna check all levels day one full water really excited now to buy lights and put on canopy

Tank up and running great going to get a Ammonia(NH4) kit today to test the cycle. Here is a picture without lights still waiting on lights.

This is it half of my lights are in working on my cycle and then I shall dive in what a fun hobby!!!!

So I'm done testing for the cycle I have tested for nine days strait no levels at all to worrie about. So I went and Baught two clowns "snowflakes" they have lasted now for four days and very happy. Went Monday to a very nice woman's house that had a frag store Baught 5 different very strong corals that have done very good since I put them in the tank Monday morning. Gonna wait and monitor these additions and then maybe get another fish or two this weekend.

Everything is growing and very happy picked up 2 cleaner shrimp yesterday and they also are doing good. I'm using at the moment two 165watt Chinese black box LEDs the corals seem to be very happy with the lowest setting lights have not raised the light on either channel.

Been a long time since i have posted since then i have had my first tank listed above crack on me and now i have had the other tank up and running since August 18th
