I am starting this thread to display pics of my 120 gallon reef ready tank. I didn't take any while I was putting it together.

The specs are as follows
120 gallon 48x24x25 2 overflows in the back
stand is black marineland designed for having a sump.... 20 gallon tanks don't make good sumps
40 breeder as a sump next to tank
reefkeeper lite with ph probe, orp probe (not being used unless i add ozone) controlling auto top off as well
Reef Octopus nw150 protein skimmer modded with with bubble blaster 2000 pump and neck extension.
I will be upgrading skimmers in the next few weeks, just waiting on some quotes on some big skimmers.

phosban 150 reactor with biopellets
I'm running kalkwasser to keep up my dkh, calcium, and ph
2 kessil a350 lights

current stats are as follows
phosphates= 0
nitrates= 0
dkh= 9
calcium= 410
ph= 8.18 ( just checked probe)

Some of my zoanthids that started as 2 polyps a couple months ago ( one of those months still in my old 40 breeder before it was broken down for this tank)

my fish list is as follows and will be increasing in length as I fill the tank with what I want
Yellow tang
indo pacific sailfin tang
2 ocelaris clownfish ( hate them, I'm giving them to a friend for his new tank and replacing them with percs)
coral beauty angelfish

I have a lot more I want to add, but I'm doing it slowly and waiting on a couple of them till I have a wavemaker

if you have questions just ask.

thanks

Looks good Jimmy!

decided to post a bit of an update. I have since moved to a new place that I like a lot more. I had problems with management at my old place and my new place loves my reef tank and one of the management girls likes to come look at it if she knows I'm working on it. I have upgraded a few things and I'll try to post some pics of what I can. Here is a list of the things I have since purchased or upgraded on the tank:
Hurricone cat2e protein skimmer (will be visible in pics)
carbon/gfo reactor
many fish including a naso tang (I don't want to hear from tang police. It's small right now and I'll have a 300g tank before it outgrows the 120. My fiance and I already are planning it since we both love the naso tang)
turbotwist x12 uv sterilizer

I also had a few things major happen with the tank while moving and since then.
I lost my carpet anemone while moving and still miss it.
I had a bacterial infection wipe out my montiporas
I lost then refound my ricordeas and when I found them again there were many more. I am very happy with them if they would just not blow around my tank without being glued down.
added a lot of zoanthids to the tank and they are thriving.
My frogspawn has grown another head and is doing great
One of the two chalices I bought is doing amazing and has grown from half an inch to 1.5 inch in 2 months.

I'll post pics in a few minutes.

I'm also currently having trouble with power. It seems like a weird issue, but you can see where I ran an extension cable in the pic. The way the power is laid out in my townhouse the plugs on the wall the tank is on are on the same circuit as the fridge and microwave. Whenever I ran the microwave the lights and protein skimmer would freak out, so I ran an extension cable from an outlet that is an another circuit.

I really need to get everything in a final location. The way it is right now is not the prettiest and I know it could look much better.

Gotta have a huge skimmer when you have a huge bioload, but I like big skimmers anyways.

Awesome tank keep them pics coming.

No pic update, but I'll do one when I finish a project to add a 40 gallon refuge to the tank.

I've had problems with my uv sterilizer and have a replacement on the way. I also order replacement parts to fix the old one as a just in case item.

I am working on building a 40 gallon refuge next to the sump in a 40 breeder with pvc overflows (3 of them becuase of lack of trust on my part). It will house mangroves, kalurpa, and 2 of my clownfish that I don't like so much. I'll also add one of my recently purchased anemones to it, but I'll get to that.

I have gotten 2 gorgeous picaso percula clownfish that are now my prides of the tank. I got them a very small carpet anemone that I was expecting to come out to the front of the tank and be pretty, but it didn't agree with that idea. That anemone is now in back of the tank and can't be seen without moving rocks. It's only 3 inches in diameter

I purchased a small bubble tip anemone to just see if it would come to a show spot on the tank and host one of my 3 pairs of clownfish in it, but it didn't. It went into a little crevace in a rock on the back side of the tank where it's not visible for any viewer. My mocha clowns decided to host in it and now I never see them unless I'm feeding the fish.

Now back to the refuge. I'm putting the bubble tip anemone in it with the mocha clownfish. I'm also going to add the yellow tang to it when the kalurpa starts growing faster than it could eat it. I don't want a lecture on too small for the fish, so don't give it. I have a big tank right next to it if it outgrows that.

My tank's current specs are as follows:
120 4x2x2 tank
40 breeder sump filled with 22 gallons
carbon gfo reactor (don't know brand but it's 4 inches wide and 2 foot tall. it holds a lot of media and runs with just a mag3 well)
phosban 150 with biopellets in all but 1 inch of it powered by mag 5
turbo twist x12 uv sterilizer on return line

chemistry:
nitrates: undetectable
phosphates: <.1ppm
calcium: 430 (22 drops it half changes color and 23 it's full on)
dkh: 9
temp 79.0 morning. 79.3 mid afternoon. 78.9 midnight

forgot dosing:
2 tablespoons of kalk+2 supplement in ato per gallon. evaporates approximately 1.5-2 gallons per day.
