Just got the LEDs all wired up. Just replaced my old 420nm uv LEDs with the new 430nm uv LEDs. They seem twice as bright.

Been a while since I posted but heres a few pics of my system. I've got more coming!

The corals look great!! Thanks for sharing!!

Thanks, got more pics coming! going to keep the thread going. Growing all acros from 1" frags or less so it'll be a while before the tank is all grown out should be a fun progression!

So star board is basically white cutting board? So If I wanted to take out my sand and put this in would this possibly take away some of my algae issues? How long would I have to wait until I can put fish and coral in tank after I did this? Just until phos and nitrate and ammonia go away?

Yes, starboard is a brand of cutting board. As far as algae goes it all comes down to husbandry. I am a carbon source and zeolite guy so I keep my nutrients way low. You probably don't want to do zeolites unless you plan on acros mainly. It keeps your tank so low nutrient that you'll need to feed lots of aminos and stuff to keep your tank from bleching completely. So, if it were me I would take the sand out and put the cutting board in, rescape the tank and test for ammonia and nitrite for about a week And proceed with stock. If your having algae problems take at look at your bio load and how much you feed. You could also knock out most algae blooms with a solid system of carbon source and bacteria dosing.
Good luck and if there is anything else I can help you with please ask!

Looks great!! :)

Thanks again for all the kudos! Will be updating this thread every 3 months with pics unless something awe full happens.
Happy reefing and have a fragtastic day
