My 140 sps tank

Thanks a lot everyone!

There are no secret just the kiss method. Keep the water pristine with heavy nutrient export and at the same time feeding the tank inhabitants with assortment of food including a night feed of sps food from vitalis. It doesn't have to be a lot but consistency is the key imo.

If I were to recommend lighting, I would do 2 coral plus and rest blue plus. I find that the best combo so far and as for me I run 2 coral plus, 2 actinic and 4 blue plus supplemented with 2 xhos.

I run my tank at constant with the same or similar lighting in addition to three Kessil A360. Water flow does not change, yet I have these issues???
I am however guilty of few water changes as I lose 6 gals a week and have it topped with with fresh RO via ATO

When I set out for this tank I wanted to try some notorious hard to keep fishes (copperband, achilles, moorish idol...) Unfortunately the copperband started picking on my snails, abalone and moorish idol started eating my sps, last draw was the moorish idol took a big chunk out of my oregon tort right in front of me....I had no choice but to remove them from the system.

Really loved this fish.

That's really sad to hear since I also wanted to add a Moorish Idol to my sps system that will be up and running soon!

They can be model citizens forever and one day....just a gamble you need to accept. I do love them though. Such a majestic fish.

How long has the tank been running?

OVER ONE YEAR

Beautiful tank! What bulb combo are you using on your ATI fixture? I'm currently building a 120 and I have an ATI 6 bulb with 2 reefbrite blue XHO and I'm debating what color combo to run in the ATI. I'd like to keep mainly SPS, and maybe throw some LPS in some shaded areas.

I use 2 coral plus, 4 blue plus and 2 actinic. Next round I will be using 6 blue plus and take out the 2 actinic.

What is the secret. See everyone with SPS growing wild while many of mine bleach out and go dead???

Keep it simple and stupid. Stability is key. Not all corals are gonna do good, pick and choose those flourish over the finicky ones. Everything takes time, just be patient and stick with it my friend.

Tank has been doing well, colors are coming back and I see new growth everywhere. Kinda of a pain in the rear watch them encroach on each other and killing it's neighbours but I guess it's a first world problem. Let me know if you guys have any questions. Thanks for looking

I am not sure what all this fuzz is about. This tank looks awful... the coral tips are white, the corals are hairy, we can still see rock in the top down view, i am not sure about the others but I am not a fan of blue and yellow and pink and orange and all other combinations.
Why there is no brown in this tank?
At least it could be a little more familiar without all these fancy and bright colours.

Are you still running pellets?

I need you to come over and redo my tank, is that possible?

Absolutely one of the most stunning tanks I have ever seen.
