My 150g Rebuild with Marco Rocks

I didn’t know what to think when I got the Marco rock. It was nothing like the Pukani live rock that I had used in the past.

It took a while to get the hang of aquascaping with it, but I think it turned out well.

I moved from Maryland to South Carolina and the logistics of moving the tank with the livestock wasn’t feasible. Breakdown the tank, drive 9 1/2 hours, set the tank back up ... etc.

I really like it. Im gonna redo my 40br i also have a mixture of shelf and reefsaver. Was thinking of ditching the reef saver and getting more shelf but you have given me great ideas.

I’ve gotten some questions about the tank. It’s an SCA 150g, 60x24x24.

I ordered a Shelf Scape 60 package from Marco, which includes 40 lbs of shelf rock and the foundation pieces. With the look I was going for, I ended up not using the foundation pieces, but they are very nice.

I ordered another 50 lbs of their reef saver rock, for a total of 90 lbs. (it’s probably closer to 100 lbs all in). I like a lot of negative space in my tanks, so you easily add another 30 - 40 lbs of rock.

Where did you buy this from? I tried marco rock directly and they said they just sell to the stores. Most stores I saw just sold the pieces not the package 30 or 60.
