My 20 long

Hey there,

I've posted my tiny little tanks before but have since upgraded and consolidated into one 20 long tank with a 10 gallon sump. Just wanted to share it with everyone.

It still has a lot of maturing to do as well as tweaks as I learn and then learn some more. Been in it for close to 9 years now, but still get to learn new things from Co-workers and friends.

Equipment:
-100 watt hydor heater (probably will be upgraded at some point)
-maxijet 1200 with ball valve for return & PF-nano u-tube overflow
-24 inch 4 bulb t5 with gieseman bulbs. Can't remember the exact combination, but I believe one aquablue white blue combo, one purple, and two actinic.
-2 hydor 550 powerhead (one day I'll have an mp10wes!)
-JBJ ATO

Livestock:
-tailspot blenny (awesome fish!)
-cryptic wrasse
-CUC (needs more snails)

Lookin' good, Mr.D...thanks for sharing the pics! I know it's only a 20g long, but it looks much larger in the FTS. Amazing how you can scape a small tank to make it look so much larger. The Tail-Spot Blenny is too cool, might have to get me one.

Looks really good and I must also say looks much bigger than a 20. Love the chalice above the orange one. Can't wait to see the progression.

Thanks for the kind comments.

It has a lot of growing out to do and that will determine some of the permanent placement of coral. Still too inexperienced to have a good feel for some placements.

Lol, it doesn't feel so large when I want more sand bed to put stuff or have too much of it taken up that I don't have a decent open look.

Oh that is the original mummy eye. Pretty fast grower for me.

I wanted to share an update. Everything is growing in and looking very healthy with the exception of my plate. It is just randomly having issues. Looks like it's actually recovering though.

Please excuse the cyano in there. I hooked up the skimmer a week ago and it's taking care of my algae issues easily.

I'll be trying to put some baffles in the sump soon. Right now I have a good bit of micro bubbles from the skimmer.
