So, as some of you may know I had put together a nice 210 and had started stocking it with some of my favorite rarer species. Well that lasted about 2 months of being up (after the cycle) then a very bad thing happened. It crashed, I know why it crashed and it was nothing to do with the cycle, it had to do with a 4 year old niece of mine whom I love very much but at the same time was rather upset with at the time. I was out of town the day it happened or it may not of been a total loss but things do happen.
So why it was down, I decided it was a good time to do some upgrades to the 210, I swapped out my home made sump for a Aqueon Pro Flex 4 (which i love), had some issues there the factory hoses had cracked out when I put them on the bulkheads causing a massive leak, got new ones made from a local shop here that deals strictly in hoses. I added another 100 pounds of rock with a bit more sand as well. Upgraded all my lower power heads, Rebuilt the power center.
Now it is time to stock again. Sadly I will have a very hard time doing this as I have the taste for the rare and some of the ones I had, I looked for a very long time to find.
The new stock list will include, Thompson Tang, Red Tail Trigger, Powder Blue Tang, Bariene Tang, Pair of Bellus Angels, Extreme Picaso Clowns. Just to name a few. (Yes I had all of the above prior to the loss)
But I am back up and going and happy to have my gorgeous tank back. Now hopefully I can keep the midgets out of the office and it will thrive.
