Tank inhabitants. A bit overstocked but I've got perfect tests and all are small and keep to their own little areas

FYI the green spotted puffer swims into my hand hence the pic

Mini frags from my big zoanthid that my puffer broke loose

GSP that's slowly growing

My torch coral. 2 heads I think it's forming another

Some sort of palythoa I think

And what I believe to be an acropora of some kind

That's all the corals I have. Now but I'm slowly adding more

Since it's my first saltwater tank it's a slow accumulation

As for equipment and rock. I'm running a marineland 350 for flow and to run carbon in. I've got live rock rubble in one side of it
A heater

I've got an aqeuon dual bulb t5 system running an acintic and a white bulb I plan on upgrading this when I have the extra money but everything I have is doing fairly well with the exception of my GSP which stays closed 98% of the time.

I've currently got 17 lbs of live rock started with 4lbs live and the rest dry. The dry has since become live despite still being much lighter

20lbs of a mid sized sand

And I've got my faux coral insert since I don't like the look of empty rock and it brings color. I'm going to phase this out as I get more coral for now I'm wedging the plugs where I have space though I'm nearly out

Woah That's awesome the puffer swims to your hand!

It really is but he's got the most personality of any fish ive ever seen. He takes seaweed from my hand and nips at me if I'm doing anything in the tank but then there's times like that when he swims right on in. He's done it several times now

Well my acropora died. Over a period of two hours it became skeleton.

But I did reuse the plug for my un intentional zoa frag

very cool little puffer. I love that particular kind. Did you buy it from a marine tank?

The store I got him from was acclimating him to full salt He was actually at 1.019. I've brought him up to 1.025

you have a really nice tank there! good job!!!

one question, isnt the puffer bitting your corals? i was told they do that.

That cute little puffer is going to get much bigger, 6 1/2" large! He's also going to need a much meatier diet and something snail like to help file down his fast growing teeth. They become very territorial and are well known for fin nipping.

I am aware of this fact and ive got a tank in the garage that can be up and ready to go very quickly for him when he gets larger (it's a 55 gallon that I don't have money to convert into a reef right now). I'm working on getting money so I can turn that into a fowlr for him and possibly some other fish. He gets bay shrimp bi-weekly and when I have crab legs I give him the tip of one leg to file his teeth down (every couple months) but I believe when he eats the rock that does a decent job. He's pretty territorial but he never does more than just chase the other fish away. My dottyback is worse than he is. Hell the clownfish are too.

This evil fish keeps biting me any time input my hand in the tank. I had to upright a hermit crab and I swear I almost came up with a missing finger

New tank additions. Equipment this time. Powerhead.(left side) Uv steriliser (right side)and protein skimmer(giant black thing

I have mixed feelings about the size of the protein skimmer and I'm still tuning it. (And trying to minimise the number of micro bubbles in the water)
