My name is Bruce, I currently live in Riverside, Ca. I will be moving soon to Lake Havasu, AZ. I have been doing saltwater tanks for 25 years. I had been out of hobby for seven years and just got back into it latter part of 2014. I had everything newly purchased to set up but lost my job and now I am disabled. My current tank has been set up for about 10 months. I went bare bottom for 2 the first time. I have been using a few different skimmers and then modified an old euro reef skimmer which has been working well. Because of how well it has been working I purchased a new Reef Dynamic skimmer good for 400 gallon SPS which I will install after I move. I will also continue to use my old skimmer.
list of equipment. 250 gallon display, 125 gallon sump about 350 lbs rock, entire system is around 300 gallons of water. Two skimmers as mentioned, Euro Reef recirculating pellet reactor. TLF 550 GFO reactor, TLF 550 reactor with carbon. Jebao dc 12000 return pump, 4 ea Jebao wp 60 wave pumps. Lighting is two Orphek Atlantik ver2.1b reef lights. I have not made a water change in the 10 months it has been up. I just recently lost a green birds nest while gone for almost two weeks. I have been using kalk in all makeup water but will be adding calcium reactor as I already have one. I am planning on using ozone at a later date. only controllers is what comes with pumps and lights no all in one like an Apex. A few pictures from my phone.

Welcome to R2R;)

Yes I will be breaking it down and taking it with. I have a week after escrow closes to get it moved. Lots of tubs with air stones. One trip with everything, fish, corals, rocks, tank strapped to stand and all the supplies. A five hour drive by car but by truck make it six. Hopefully I will not lose anything. Good part is corals were all lower priced frags.

Here is an update on my display just a short video taken with my phone. I just recently got rid of a cyano outbreak. Just for reference the cup coral is about 10-11 inches across and the Duncans are also about 10" This has been set up since I moved to Lake Havasu and most of the corals are new.

Welcome home, you will love it here!

Thanks for sharing your beautiful tank! :)

Is that torch the one that I gave you? Looks good. I lost all of my torches. As I told you previously, I bought a used 120 and I think that I will need help with plumbing. Can you help?

Hi Kurt, the frog spawn is what I got from you and is doing good. Thought I was going to lose it early on. Sure I can help a bit. Last torch and hammer I purchased, I lost do to alk swing and too low of nutrients. Let me know when and I can look over it with you and see what we come up with.
